Jack Sweeney – CEO
Jack Sweeney joined SevOne as CEO in July 2013. Prior to SevOne, Mr. Sweeney served as a Managing Director for Bain Capital Ventures. His career includes a variety of leadership roles at fast-growth technology companies. He has served at the helm of six companies as CEO, creating more than $1.3 billion in value. He has also provided strategic guidance to numerous companies that address the next generation of technology, including infrastructure software, data security and networking.
Mr. Sweeney is a technology entrepreneur and investor with over 20 years of experience managing capital investments and operations in the information technology market. He has served in executive roles at Axeda, AppNeta (formerly Apparent Networks, Inc.), EMC, Stargus, and EPiCON Inc. Prior to joining EPiCON, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Bell Atlantic Network Integration (BANI), where he grew BANI from being a Regional Network Services division into a $200 million organization with national presence and global potential.
Mr. Sweeney holds a B.S. Degree in Management from Bridgewater State College and Graduated from the Stanford University Executive Program.
Vess Bakalov – Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
As one of the co-founders of SevOne, Vess Bakalov serves as Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for leading the company’s product development and design, and overall vision of the technology architecture.
Prior to SevOne, Mr. Bakalov served in a number of senior technical positions at BankOne, including Assistant Vice President and Network Architect. He also led the network management team for the Credit Card Services division of the company, which was the largest issuer of VISA credit cards in the U.S. During his time at BankOne, Mr. Bakalov also taught undergraduate and graduate courses as an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at the University of Delaware.
Mr. Bakalov began his career as a technical advisor for a fast-growing CLEC. There, he led the design and engineering effort behind that company's first DSL deployment. He was also in charge of architecting and developing the network management and instrumentation strategy for the firm.
Andrew Keenan – Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Keenan joins SevOne with over 25 years of financial and operational experience including his recent role as CFO at Carbonite. Under his leadership, the company grew nearly 10X in revenue and completed several rounds of outside funding before going public in 2011. He grew the team in finance and administration from 3 to 25 people over 6 years while maintaining G&A expense well below the peer group as a % of revenue.
Mr. Keenan graduated from Bentley University in Accounting before working as a CPA with Deloitte for 5 years servicing emerging growth technology companies. He assisted 3 of his clients through successful IPOs. Since leaving Deloitte he has specialized in working with hyper growth companies. Two of his companies prior to Carbonite have completed successful IPOs (SystemSoft and Provant) and two have been sold (Synchronicity and SilverOak Solutions).
Mr. Keenan views the finance organization as a critical link between the Board, the executive team and the functional leadership of the organization, serving all constituencies. He most enjoys the strategic elements of the role that require a predictive approach to forecasting the future and providing insights to help the team make decisions.
Tanya Bakalov – Senior Vice President of Operations
Tanya Bakalov oversees the day-to-day operations at SevOne and she is driving the company's performance on demand cloud strategy. Prior to joining SevOne, Mrs. Bakalov served as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte and Touche, LLP, where she worked in the IT risk management and assurance division, consulting with many Fortune 500 and blue chip companies in the technology, insurance and manufacturing industries. Mrs. Bakalov also served as Chief Accountant for a large private food services company where she led the implementation of a new ERP system.
A Certified Public Accountant, Mrs. Bakalov holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Management Information Systems from the University of Delaware, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Bill Conners – Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Business Development
As a seasoned sales executive, Bill Conners serves as Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development and is responsible for SevOne's worldwide sales and business development strategy and operations.
Prior to joining SevOne, Mr. Conners was SVP of WW Sales and Business Development at Gypsii, a geo-social networking company, where his global team earned the business of Samsung, LG, Nokia, Navteq, Sony Ericsson, China Unicom, China Mobile, and many others. Prior to Gypsii, Mr. Conners was the senior vice president of business development for Entrust, a leading provider of digital certificates, PKI security, and encryption software. Entrust acquired Mr. Conners’ prior employer, Business Signatures in 2006, where he was responsible for all key business relationships, including the partnership with Entrust. Mr. Conners also served as senior vice president of business development at SMARTS, a provider of end-to-end IT services management and was instrumental in helping them to be acquired by EMC in 2004. While at SMARTS, Mr. Conners managed key strategic relationships with global organizations including EMC, Cisco, and Unisys. Prior to SMARTS, he served as COO of eCal Corporation and held executive sales management positions with Netscape Communications, Sony Corporation, AHAA, and InSoft. Mr. Conners holds a BA in Economics from Villanova University.
Casey Murray – Vice President of Marketing
Mr. Murray joined SevOne in 2008 as Director of Business Development. Since that time he has had various roles including Vice President of Business Development, Vice President of Sales for North America and Vice President of Global Strategic Alliances. Mr. Murray has contributed greatly to SevOne's success in acquiring new customers like Time Warner Cable, Dow Jones, CSC, Cablevision, while also expanding relationships with Thomson-Reuters, Credit Suisse, and Hawaiian Telcom. While leading the US Sales team Mr. Murray saw three years of over 75% annual growth.
In his role leading global alliances, Mr. Murray has developed SevOne reseller relationships with Alcatel-Lucent, HP, and EXFO and has secured the company's first OEM agreement. Further, Mr. Murray has developed partner engineering relationships with F5, Endace, Extrahop, Cisco, Juniper, Accedian Networks, Ericsson, A10 and Alcatel-Lucent.
Prior to joining SevOne Mr.Murray worked for EMC where he managed a sales unit of the Resource Software Management Group and supported accounts including Unisys, GlaxoSmithKline and CSC. Prior to EMC, Mr. Murray also managed national accounts for Enterasys Networks and supported Comcast, JPMC, and MBNA. Prior to Enterasys Networks Mr. Murray was Vice President of Sales and Marketing at CyberFinancial LLC where he oversaw sales and marketing efforts for Bank.com, Stocks.com and Bonds.com.
Brian Harvell – Vice President of Product Engineering
Brian Harvell joined SevOne in 2011 as Vice President of Product Engineering where he is responsible for leading the product engineering team, and working with the CTO and architecture team to turn the SevOne vision into reality. Mr. Harvell is a seasoned executive with over 15 years of industry experience in all aspects of Software Development LifeCycle processes and Operations Management. Mr. Harvell has a proven track record in solving highly complex business problems, and a great capacity to drive results across functional groups.
He most recently served as Executive Director, Infrastructure Management for Comcast where he was responsible for the Infrastructure Management team which provides operations and engineering function for databases, systems, applications and storage. Prior to Comcast, he served as Technical Director for AOL where he led a large group of engineers, and technical managers across multiple geographic regions, built an India-based development and operations teams from the ground up, and was responsible for the technical direction and operation of the Network Operations system and network management infrastructure. Other previous roles include Principal Systems Administrator for America Online, and Unix Security Engineer for Philip Morris.
Keith Bartlett – Vice President of Corporate Development
Mr. Bartlett oversees the company’s plan for expanding and maturing its strategic partner base including global alliance and channel partners as well as SevOne’s partner engineering relationships. The goals of SevOne’s corporate development program are increase market share, identify and develop new sources of revenue and strengthen the company's competitive advantages by leveraging relationships that benefit our customers and channel partners.
Mr. Bartlett brings extensive technology and business experience to SevOne. Prior to this position, he has held direct sales, corporate development and channel sales leadership positions with EMC, GeoTrust, Network Intelligence, Apparent Networks and Axeda. Throughout his career, Mr. Bartlett has helped to grow and strategically position several companies that were subsequently acquired by major firms including, IBM, Nortel, VeriSign and EMC.
Mr. Bartlett holds a B.S. Degree in Management from Bentley University and attended the Babson College Executive and Entrepreneurial Programs.
