User Manager

With SevOne User Manager, you can configure different permission rights for different classes of users. For example, you can allow some users to be able to create reports, while others can only view different fault events and be able to acknowledge them. You may decide others on your team can add or delete devices. Assigning permissions like this is easy with User Manager.

User Manager enables administrators to define role-based permissions with a good deal of granularity. Not only can users be limited to particular actions (role-based permission control) but also to particular groups of devices. SevOne is capable of checking credentials internally as well as with third party systems such as TACACs, RADIUS or LDAP.

Because of its robust user and access management SevOne has become the system of choices for MCSes (Managed Service Providers). In such environments, it is paramount for users to be limited to view only the systems that they are allowed to see—so multiple customers can be certain of the privacy of their data. For this reason, User and Access management in SevOne is deeply and transparently integrated in all facets of the product.

As an example, if a user accesses the Alert Screen, it will check their permissions and display only the exceptions that have occurred on devices that they are eligible to see. Another example may be a user who is responsible for supporting the Marketing group and who does not have permission to see any other devices. This user will only be shown exceptions and allowed to create reports that relate to the Marketing devices. In fact, depending on permission settings, the presence of all other devices in the system would not be visible to him.
