Happy New Year with a 2011 Network Performance Management Recap
As 2011 comes to a close, I wish everyone in the extended SevOne family of customers, employees, shareholders and partners a warm and joyful holiday season.
Last week we were recruiting a very successful sales executive who remarked, “SevOne has tremendous energy. Everyone I meet is excited, passionate and committed.” I believe our customers sense this too and hope that our “tremendous energy” enhances the business and personal lives of all those we touch throughout the year.
We take our mission - to remove the technical and business limits to performance visibility - very seriously. The launching of the SevOne Customer Advisory Board (CAB) was one of the most important things that we did in 2011. The CAB helps us understand the challenges that our customers are facing, so we can align everything we do behind achieving the complete visibility they need in increasingly complex, converging environments. SevOne has very powerful CAB members, including leaders from Comcast, ACS, a Xerox Company, CSC, a top ten multinational pharmaceutical company, one of the most admired brands who makes consumer electronics and personal computers, and a global financial services giant. The CAB insisted that SevOne stay the course, focusing on our core strength and competency – network performance management, while leveraging partnerships for areas like DPI and fault. They also want us to deliver more service and business level context to the performance data we collect and present. We are excited about launching advanced capabilities in the near future that align with the CAB's recommendations.
2011 has been another fantastic year for SevOne, maintaining growth and momentum throughout the year. Revenue in the first half of 2011 almost doubled over the previous year and the momentum continued for the second half of the year. Our employee headcount increased by 75 percent year over year, including key new hires to service emerging markets in Latin America, AsiaPac, and Australia.
Our Partner Program continued to grow, with over 40 regional partners, including Telonic in Germany, who closed one of the top travel services companies in the world. We are particularly excited about the momentum and the rapid success of our partnership with Terilogy, a premier network solutions company known throughout the Asia-Pacific region for its technical expertise. Terilogy partners with SevOne to provide customers with unprecedented visibility into the health of financial services, including high frequency trading (HFT) environments and supporting infrastructures in a consolidated real time monitoring system.
SevOne also continued its 3rd party industry recognition, ranking on the Deloitte Fast 50 List as the second fastest growing company in the Greater Philadelphia Area and number 30 in North America. SevOne ranked number 315 on the Inc 500 List of Fastest Growing Private Companies and was named a 2011 CRN Emerging Technology Vendor. SevOne was named Emerging Technology Company of the Year by PACT, and received a Wireless Backhaul Distinction Award from Mobility Tech Zone. The best recognition we received is from our customers, who continually expand their SevOne deployments and trust us to deliver the products and services that help them to compete in quickly evolving industries.
