SevOne Co-founders Honored with Entrepreneur of the Year Award
SevOne co-founders Tanya and Vess Bakalov were recently awarded the prestigious Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for 2016 in the Infrastructure Software category.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of this Award Program, which recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.
The award was presented at a special gala event at the Marriott Copley Place on June 23. Tanya and Vess were selected by an independent panel of judges.
“It is quite a distinction to be in the presence of such esteemed colleagues and we are deeply honored to be selected by Ernst and Young as one of the few New England recipients of this award,” Tanya Bakalov said. “This night is a pinnacle in our careers, and we hope to continue to grow our business onward and upward, scale our innovation and technology to meet our customers’ needs in the changing market, and very importantly, continue to engage with the young entrepreneurial community to encourage and mentor them in achieving their success as well."
Since its inception as a small award show in Milwaukee, WI, the E&Y Entrepreneur Award Program has grown tremendously. Today, it spans over 140 cities, in more than 60 countries. E&Y’s alumni portfolio includes highly recognizable companies such as Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream, the New England Patriots, New Balance to name a few.
