SevOne Turns 10!

It’s been an absolute whirlwind 10 years at SevOne. If you had told me when we were sitting in a garage behind Main Street on the University of Delaware’s campus that we’d be wrapping up our first User Conference, receiving a $50 million round of Series C funding, or cutting the ribbon with Governor Markell on our new 48,000-sq-ft technology center on the University’s STAR campus in 10 years’ time, I wouldn’t have believed you.

But here we are - and it’s been an amazing ride In fact, SevOne was just named to Deloitte’s 2015 Technology Fast 500™ list, growing 336 percent from 2011 to 2014. We employ amazingly talented people from all over the world, with a corporate headquarters in Boston and additional offices in Philadelphia, London and Bulgaria. They use their talents everyday to support our customers and expand our offerings.

Looking forward, the future of SevOne is very bright. We’ve been nominated as one of 10 finalists in USA TODAY’s 2015 Small Business Innovator Of The Year Awards. We plan to add over 100 new positions at the STAR campus facility alone over the next two years. And thanks to trends like software-defined everything and the Internet of Things, SevOne gives IT teams crucial visibility into their end-to-end infrastructures when it’s more important than ever before.

SevOne today is beyond any vision we had when we began in that garage. We just set out each day with a simple mission: deliver the speed, scalability, and visibility that we promised to the customer. We owe all of our success to our customers, and we thank them everyday for believing in us.

We celebrated the culmination of 10 successful years in business at our “SevOne turns 10” birthday party during our User Conference. Customers, employees and friends joined in on the fun, including Mike Phelan, our founding CEO.

I shared my excitement for where we are and where we’re headed during the User Conference. Press play below to watch the video.
