SevOne’s Latest Release Delivers Real-Time Operational Insight into SDN
Software-defined networking (SDN) and its counterpart, Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), are revolutionizing how infrastructures are being built. Digital resources can now be spun up on demand as required by applications, paving the way for a shift to a software-defined infrastructure that meets more demanding time-to-market pressures.
OpenStack™ has been one of the pioneers in the field of SDN. Its architecture allows for flexible deployment of applications through automation.
To give customers visibility into their environments, we’ve created SevOne’s xStats™ Adapter for OpenStack, which allows users to have insight into the operations of both the virtual and physical infrastructure as a single entity. This functionality, which will be available in the 5.5 version of SevOne’s Performance Monitoring Cluster, ensures infrastructure integrity, aids in resource consumption, and assures service availability. Customers have been asking for this functionality, and we’re happy to deliver.
And with an incredibly agile infrastructure, it’s more important than ever that you visualize the logical and physical layout of your network. SevOne’s automated infrastructure context, also part of the 5.5 release, provides an auto-discovering capability to view L2/L3 network connectivity with real-time status overlays through topographical displays, while also accessing infrastructure context via the SevOne northbound API.
SevOne 5.5 continues to specifically address the market’s demand for a digital infrastructure management technology that can deliver deeper visibility into both physical and virtual environments. These advancements extend SevOne’s vision to achieve real-time operational insight into software-defined infrastructures to drive smarter business decisions. SDN isn’t going anywhere, and we’ll continue to innovate to deliver a platform where companies can monitor their infrastructure from end-to-end.
