Dewey Awad

Dewey is a Managing Director at Bain Capital, LLC. He joined the firm in 2000 and he focuses on software companies. Dewey is also a Managing Director at Brookside Capital Management, LLC. Previously, he was the Vice President of Internet Infrastructure Research at Soundview Technology. Earlier in his career, Dewey was a Director of Applications and Middleware Consulting at Gartner Group and has spent several years at Electronic Data Systems in the United States and Asia. He received a B.A. from Colgate University and an M.B.A. from Georgetown University.

Vess Bakalov

As one of the co-founders of SevOne, Vess Bakalov serves as Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for leading the company’s product development and design, and overall vision of the technology architecture.

Prior to SevOne, Vess served in a number of senior technical positions at BankOne, including Assistant Vice President and Network Architect. He also led the network management team for the Credit Card Services division of the company, which was the largest issuer of VISA credit cards in the U.S. During his time at BankOne, Vess also taught undergraduate and graduate courses as an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at the University of Delaware.

Vess began his career as a technical advisor for a fast-growing CLEC. There, he led the design and engineering effort behind that company's first DSL deployment. He was also in charge of architecting and developing the network management and instrumentation strategy for the firm.

Kevin DeNuccio

Kevin is Violin Memory's President and Chief Executive Officer and has served as a member of their board of directors since February 2014. Previously, he served as CEO of Metaswitch Networks Ltd., a telecommunications hardware and software company, from February 2010 until June 2012. Kevin served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Redback Networks Inc., a provider of edge routers, from August 2001 until its acquisition by Ericsson in January 2007 after emerging from bankruptcy in 2004. From 1995 to 2001, he held a number of executive positions at Cisco Systems, including Senior Vice President of worldwide service provider operations. Prior to joining Cisco, Kevin was President and CEO of Bell Atlantic Network Integration, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bell Atlantic (now Verizon Communications). He has also held senior management positions at both Unisys Corporation and Wang Laboratories network integration and worldwide channel partner business.

Kevin previously served on numerous public and private boards of directors including Redback Networks, JDS Uniphase Corporation, KPMG consulting (BearingPoint), Netpliance (TippingPoint), Salesnet and SanDisk. He currently serves on the board of directors of Juniper Networks, Calix, GrndCntrl, Violin Memory, and Northeastern University.

He earned a Master’s degree in business administration from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Northeastern University.

Ben Holzman

Ben is a Partner with Bain Capital Ventures, which he joined in 2007. He co-leads the software practice, focusing on investments in software, technology and technology-enabled businesses. Prior to Bain Capital, Ben was Vice President of Sales Operations for Iron Mountain, a world leader in information management services. In this role, Ben was responsible for sales strategy, compensation, and sales-oriented CRM and business intelligence systems. Prior to Iron Mountain, Ben was a venture investor with Fidelity Ventures, where he focused on software and technology-enabled businesses. Earlier in his career, Ben was a consultant at McKinsey and Company in a variety of industries and worked in Corporate Strategy at Microsoft where he focused on software intellectual property. Ben received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering (magna cum laude) in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering from Duke University and his Master of Business Administration from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

William A. Muggia

Will serves as the President, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer at Westfield Capital Management Company. In addition to his executive duties, he chairs the Investment Committee, serves as Market Strategist and contributes investment ideas primarily within the Health Care sector.

In 2001, Will was promoted to President and Chief Investment Officer and now oversees all of Westfield's US equity and hedge fund strategies. In this role, Will and his team have grown the firm from $2 billion to $17 billion in assets under management.

Prior to joining Westfield, Will worked in the Technology Investment Banking Group at Alex Brown & Sons, where his responsibilities included mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and spin-offs. Before that, he was a Vice President at Kidder, Peabody & Company. Will graduated from Middlebury College in 1983 and received a Masters in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School in 1992.

Ben Nye

Ben is Managing Director, Boston, Bain Capital Ventures, which he joined in 2004 and leads the Software and Infrastructure Group. Prior to joining Bain Capital Ventures, he was a SVP at Veritas Software. Prior to Veritas, he was COO and CFO of Precise Software Solutions, where he helped build Precise from a $10MM revenue private company to a $100MM revenue public company prior to its sale to Veritas for $600MM. Earlier in his career Ben was principal investor at Allied Capital, where he focused on business services, industrial, and health care sectors. Ben also worked in the U.S. Treasury Department for Treasury Secretaries Lloyd Bentsen and Robert Rubin, and as a consultant for Mercer Management Consulting. He attended Harvard College and Harvard Business School, where he graduated with honors.

Jack Sweeney

Jack Sweeney joined SevOne as CEO in July 2013. Prior to SevOne, Jack served as a Managing Director for Bain Capital Ventures. His career includes a variety of leadership roles at fast-growth technology companies. He has served at the helm of six companies as CEO, creating more than $1.3 billion in value. He has also provided strategic guidance to numerous companies that address the next generation of technology, including infrastructure software, data security and networking.

Jack is a technology entrepreneur and investor with over 20 years of experience managing capital investments and operations in the information technology market. He has served in executive roles at Axeda, AppNeta (formerly Apparent Networks, Inc.), EMC, Stargus, and EPiCON Inc. Prior to joining EPiCON, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Bell Atlantic Network Integration (BANI), where he grew BANI from being a Regional Network Services division into a $200 million organization with national presence and global potential.

Jack holds a B.S. Degree in Management from Bridgewater State College and Graduated from the Stanford University Executive Program.
