The Value of Operational Insight

Less mature organizations lack the operational insight the brings will and understanding compared to organizations that have adopted a mature performance monitoring model.

I think the difference between organizations that have adopted and have a mature performance monitoring model versus those that haven't, is the ones that haven't, as soon as they realize the value in the operational insight, it brings will. I don't think it's a lack of will for the less mature organizations. I think it's a lack of understanding of the business analytics data, that having that type of solution gives you.

What I've typically seen both when I was working at banks and when I was just consulting generally, is that as soon as you educate people as to the value of the data that they actually have and how they can use that and how you can translate that to their services that they provide, the light bulb goes on and the dollars come out.
