WILMINGTON, DE― January 14, 2015 ―SevOne, the industry-leading provider of infrastructure performance monitoring solutions engineered for Speed at Scale, today announced Jim Melvin, a seasoned and successful technology executive as its Chief Marketing Officer. Melvin will report directly to SevOne CEO, Jack Sweeney.
In his new role, Melvin will be responsible for the global structure, strategy, and execution of all aspects of SevOne’s marketing efforts.

Melvin was most recently CEO at AppNeta, where he transformed a niche network technology provider into an award-winning SaaS Application Performance Management (APM) leader. Melvin is a proven executive who has held leadership and CEO roles in software, hardware and SaaS businesses. He has held full responsibility for business performance, sales & marketing, and product development across diverse technologies including IT security and performance management for enterprise and carrier customers of every size.

Melvin previously held roles Network Intelligence (acquired by EMC), Mazu Networks (acquired by Riverbed), and Sightpath (acquired by Cisco). Additionally, Melvin was handpicked to lead Global Marketing at RSA, the Security Division of EMC. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Management from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
