SevOne Joins TM Forum Catalyst Demonstration of Multi-Cloud SDN-NFV Service Orchestration

Press Release

SevOne Correlates Integrated Metrics, Flows and Logs to Enable Journey to SDN-NFV Infrastructure

WILMINGTON, DE – June 2, 2015SevOne, the only infrastructure performance monitoring solution engineered for Speed at Scale, today announced it will be part of TM Forum’s Multi-Cloud SDN-NFV Service Orchestration Catalyst Project. Championed by AT&T and China Unicom, and working with Microsoft, alongside Cisco, Comverse, Accenture and SevOne, this Catalyst will be demonstrated at TM Forum Live!, today through June 4, at the Palais des Congrès Acropolis in Nice, France.

As a continuation of the “Multi-Cloud SDN-NFV Service Orchestration” Catalyst shown at Digital Disruption 2014 in San Jose, CA, this Catalyst demonstrates how to reduce the time and cost of delivering complex multi-cloud services, and handle lifecycle management for underlying virtualized infrastructures.

Service Providers have an ever-increasing need to implement sophisticated service mashups involving components hosted on private on-premises and public clouds. All of the resources across this integrated architecture are increasingly virtualized and moving toward Network Function Virtualization and Software-Defined Networks. As a result, performance visibility must leverage multiple methods for data collection and analysis, correlating metrics, flows and logs to understand response times and health across private and public cloud infrastructures.

“While SDN-NFV is the reality of tomorrow’s infrastructure, the ability to provision and orchestrate services across multiple services providers and enterprises in a consistent manner is an ongoing challenge,” said Ken Dilbeck, Vice President of Collaboration Research and Development for TM Forum. “This Catalyst allows us to further that capability and expand the feasibility of moving toward software-defined everything.”

"End-to-end multi-cloud performance visibility across SDN-NFV infrastructures is critical to improving operational agility while keeping operational costs low and preventing performance-impacting outages," said Eric Troup CTO, Microsoft, World Wide Communications and Media Industries. "We are pleased to work with SevOne as part of this TM Forum Catalyst project."

“As companies establish the foundation for a Multi-Cloud, SDN-NFV infrastructure, the ability to pivot between metric, flow and log data allows users to see what is happening with quick insight into why it is happening,” said Vess Bakalov, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at SevOne. “SevOne is excited to deliver this critical capability in the TM Forum Catalyst to enable an on-demand, elastic infrastructure to help companies understand dependencies and constraints in their dynamic, virtualized environments.”
